אופואדו: נגנב לי רכוש בשווי 100 אלף דולר

מכבי תל אביב תחזור בשבת מפגרת הנבחרות והשזרוע כשתתארח בקריית שמונה, אך עוד לפני כן, חלוץ הקבוצה צ'יקו אופואדו היה מעורב בתקרית לא נעימה לאחר שלטענתו, נגנב לו תיק עם רכוש בשווי 100 אלף דולר בטיסה מישראל לניגריה, בחברת "אתיופיאן איירליינס'.

במכתב תלונה לחברה, שפרסם בחשבון האינסטגרם שלו, כתב אופואדו: "ב- 11 בנובמבר 2019 הייתי אחד הנוסעים שעלו לטיסת מתל אביב לניגריה. לפני שעליתי על הטיסה האמורה, בדקתי את המטען שלי מתוך הבנה שהוא ימריא דרך אותה טיסה של החברה.

"למרבה הצער, כשהגעתי לניגריה, לא מצאתי את אחת המוודות שעשיתי לה צ'ק אין בישראל. דיווחתי על הנושא לפקידים בשדה התעופה בלאגוס, התלונה נרשמה לאחר שמילאתי ​​טופס שנמסר לי, אך החברה לא שלחה אליי דוא"ל כלשהו בנושא ומאז הפסיקה לענות לשיחות הטלפון שלי".

החלוץ האשים: "יש לי סיבות להאמין שגורמים רשמיים של החברה גנבו את המטען שלי ואת תוכנו, שכן זה ההסבר הסביר היחיד לסירוב למצוא אותו, לענות לשיחות הטלפון שלי או לשלוח כל הסבר בדוא"ל. ברור שפעולות חברתך מפרות את חוזה ההובלה בינינו, והחברה אינה מעוניינת לעשות דבר כדי לתקן את המצב".

בהמשך, אופואדו פירט את הרכוש שנגנב לו לטענתו: שעון של קרטייה בשווי 40 אלף דולר בנוסף לרולקס בשווי 30 אלף דולר, 13 זוגות נעליים בשווי כולל 14.5 אלף דולר, 15 זוגות נעלי כדורגל בעלות של 4,500 דולר, 4 חגורות של גו'צי בשווי 3,000 דולר, תכשיטים בעלות 3,000 דולר, וכן 16 חולצות של מכבי תל אביב.

Dear Sir, CONVERSION OF LUGGAGE AND BREACH OF CONTRACT OF CARRIAGE I, Mr. Chikeluba Francis Ofoedu of Maccabi Tell Aviv FC, hereby writes to formally complain about the unwarranted conversion of my luggage and breach of carriage contract by your company. On the 11th of November 2019, I was one of the passengers that boarded your company's flight from Tel Aviv, Israel to Lagos, Nigeria. My flight ticket and other supporting documents are attached for your perusal. Before I boarded the said flight on that day, I checked in my luggages including a box on the understanding that same was to be carried by your company on the same flight. Sadly, when I arrived Lagos Nigeria, one of my luggage that I checked in before boarding the flight at Tel Aviv Israel (a box) was nowhere to be found. I reported the matter to your officials at the airport in Lagos. The complaint was registered with Reference Number M12125758443 after I had completed a form that was given to me. Thereafter, I was given a number to call (09097011917). I called the number and the person that answered requested I send via SMS my email to enable your company respond to my complaint which I promptly did on the same day. Sadly, your company did not send any email to me concerning the whereabout of my box and since then, have stopped answering my phone calls. I have reasons to believe that your officials have converted my box and the contents since that is the only reasonable explanation for refusing produce my box, answer my phone calls or send any explanation by email. Clearly,the actions of your company are in breach of the contract of carriage between me and your company and apparently, your company is not interested in doing anything to remedy the situation.
